DNP Midwifery Clinical Sites

The program offers access to clinical sites throughout the tri-state area and beyond. These sites provide an intensive clinical experience in a variety of settings—private practice, public hospital, major medical center, federally qualified health center—and expose program participants to diverse patient populations and a wide range of practice options. Birth center and homebirth site placements are limited and available outside the tri-state area during the final clinical rotation of the program. Students learn to provide independent primary, childbearing and sexual and reproductive health care and to provide collaborative care for those with medical and/or pregnancy complications.
