Office of Artificial Intelligence
Columbia University School of Nursing has established the Office of Artificial Intelligence (OAI) to integrate this groundbreaking technology into the three main missions of Columbia Nursing—academics, research, and clinical practice—while ensuring continued accountability, transparency, and operational excellence. The OAI is committed to amplifying the school’s existing innovative informatics research portfolio, providing essential tools and resources for faculty and students in both our classrooms and our simulation center, and offering expert guidance on clinical applications of AI in nursing and advanced practice nursing. Additionally, the OAI is dedicated to equipping faculty and staff with practical technological tools to effectively minimize administrative burdens on their time, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities.
