Two Columbia Nursing faculty join Academy of Community and Public Service
Two Columbia Nursing faculty members have been named to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) Academy of Community and Public Service (ACPS) Class of 2023.
Assistant Professor Heidi Hahn-Schroeder, DNP, and Assistant Professor Latisha Hanson, DNP ’15 were among 10 CUIMC faculty honored at an induction ceremony and reception held on January 30, 2024. Hahn-Schroeder directs the MDE program and the MS in Advanced Clinical Management and Leadership, and serves as assistant dean, academic affairs. Hanson, the director of diversity programming at Columbia Nursing, also directs the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
Launched in 2020 at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, ACPS was extended in 2021 to include Columbia Nursing, the College of Dental Medicine, and the Mailman School of Public Health.
The academy recognizes exceptional community service efforts by faculty at CUIMC’s four health sciences schools. Honorees have gone above and beyond to promote health, well-being, and overall quality of life, locally and globally.
