Studying on Campus
The School of Nursing students’ lounge in the Georgian Building is available to Columbia Nursing students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
All enrolled students have free access to the CUMC Bard Athletic Center Related Link: http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/facilities-management/housing/bard-athletic... or can pay for membership on at the Dodge Fitness Center on the Morningside campus.
Your Columbia University Identification Card (CUID) will be your personal photo identification while on campus. It also serves as your library card, and allows you access to Columbia Nursing’s student nurses' lounge. Some local restaurants also offer a discount to card holders.
Limited lockers in Hammer Sciences Center are available to all CUMC students via an online request form (distributed on a first come, first served basis). There are also a small number of shared lockers (2 students per locker) available to full-time status Columbia Nursing students in the Georgian Building (students in on campus housing are not eligible).
Student Health Services
The CUMC Student Health Service office provides a variety of services including, medical care, mental health services, post exposure care, vaccination shots, sexual and relationship violence education, preventive services, addiction information and management services, and weight management and smoking cessation services.
All Columbia Nursing students are required to maintain Health Insurance during enrollment. All students are automatically enrolled in Student Health Services, and full-time status students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Part-time students must opt into SHIP (enrollment is not automatic).
