Sarah Inez Garza, CUSON student, is a recipient of the 2008-2009 National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded by the National Hispanic Medical Association, whose mission is to improve the health of Hispanics and other underserved. Their aim is to provide a unique leadership role marshaling the creative energy of Hispanic researchers from around the country and to provide the insights and strategies that can translate into a healthier Hispanic population and quality care for the underserved.
