Nancy Reame, the Mary Dickey Lindsay Professor and Director of TRANSIT (Training Nurse Scientists in Interdisciplinary and Translational Research) was an invited mentor at the 6th Annual Symposium of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's New Connections Program at the foundation headquarters in Princeton on July 20-22nd, 2012. Assistant Professor and TRANSIT Co-Director Robert Lucero also attended as an invited guest. New Connections, is an RWJ program to develop and retain a diverse, well-trained leadership and workforce in health and healthcare to meet the needs of all Americans. Created in 2005, New Connections is designed to expand the diversity of perspectives that inform RWJF program strategy and introduce new researchers and scholars to the Foundation.
