Interdisciplinary Research Course Offered

Building Interdisciplinary Research Models is a joint course offered by the School of Nursing, the Mailman School of Public Health and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, under the auspices of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research to Reduce Antibiotic Resistance (CIRAR).

This 3 credit course is designed to provide a variety of disciplines the skills necessary to lead and be members of successful interdisciplinary research teams. Interdisciplinary research requires the mastery of specific competencies and this seminar examines different conceptualizations of interdisciplinary, barriers, approaches, benefits and limitations of collaboration and team science. This semester, there are 5 physicians, 4 doctoral nursing students, several public health students and one social work student who are taking the course.
