CUSON won both nursing awards at the American Medical Informatics Association annual symposium

Barbara Sheehan, CUSON PhD student, won the Nursing Informatics Working Group Award, which honors a student who demonstrates excellence in nursing informatics and who has the potential to contribute significantly to the discipline of nursing and health informatics. Po-Yin Yen, a PhD candidate was also nominated for the award.

Patricia Dykes, DNSc, CUSON alum, won the Harriet H. Werley Award, which is for a paper judged to make the greatest contribution to advancing the field of nursing informatics. She is the fourth Columbian to win this award which we have won 5 times in the last 9 years.
