Columbia Nursing Congratulates Professor Dawn Dowding on New York Academy of Medicine Fellowship

(NEW YORK, NY, June 5, 2014) – Columbia University School of Nursing congratulates Professor Dawn Dowding, PhD, on her selection as a New York Academy of Medicine Fellow. Dowding, who serves a joint appointment between Columbia Nursing and theVisiting Nurse Service of New York, focuses her research on the development of decision support tools and the evaluation of the effectiveness of such tools in clinical decision making. She received her PhD at the University of Surrey, and wrote her dissertation on how patient information is processed during nurse shift changes.
