CCNE Reaccreditation

Columbia University School of Nursing is undergoing a reaccreditation with Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and will be hosting an on-site evaluation visit on October 17, 18 and 19, 2018 for our Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree programs.

The MS degree programs  includes a Masters Direct Entry nursing program for non-nurse college graduates, MS in Advanced Clinical Management and Leadership and MS in Nurse Anesthesia for BSNs. The DNP programs are designed for post BSN entry into advanced practice and include the following tracks: family nurse practitioner, adult gerontology-acute care nurse practitioner, adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and nurse midwifery. Per CCNE accreditation procedures, I am offering the opportunity for our communities of interest to submit third party comments.

As required by CCNE procedures, third-party comments will be received by CCNE at least three weeks prior to on-site evaluation. Therefore, the deadline to submit third-party comments is September 26, 2018.
